Overview
About the KMRG
To support NSW Health's Knowledge Management Program HEALTHTECHNOLOGY established a Knowledge Management Unit (KMU) to incorporate a range of services including the Clinical Information Access Program (CIAP), the Australian Resource Centre for Healthcare Innovation (ARCHI) and the Knowledge Gateway.
NSW Health's Knowledge Management Program will enable the capture, distribution, use and development of innovations that enhance the delivery of patient care; promote the sharing of experiences and lessons learnt from their development and implementation; and connect people in communities of practice to foster further innovation.
In line with the governance principles the Knowledge Management Reference Group (KMRG) was established and meets bi-monthly. The group is co-chaired by Dr Roger Traill, SSWAHS and Robyn Cook, Manager, KMU, Health Support Services.
The Knowledge Management Reference Group will play an active role in supporting the knowledge management vision for NSW Health.
The Knowledge Management Reference Group will support translating this vision into practice and work with the KMU to deliver the key KMU services and projects. The group will:
- Provide advice and make recommendations on current and relevant content for KMU services
- Identify barriers to access knowledge resources and work with the KMU to develop strategies to overcome these barriers
- Support marketing, education and training to ensure effective utilisation of the knowledge resources across NSW Health
- Ensure technology is fit for purpose
