Evidence-Based Medicine Research Project

How do prevocational doctors practice Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM)? A Prospective study

EBM Research Project - Poster Image

The University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine is undertaking a year-long study in January 2008 to investigate how prevocational doctors in NSW practice Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) in their first and second postgraduate years (PGY1 and 2).

Based in Sydney and Dubbo, the project will explore how interns practice EBM, determine what influences their practice of EBM and identify future training needs. Project findings will inform a critical understanding of the important factors that improve or hinder the practice of EBM by interns in relation to patient care.
